Cell Unlocked is committed to developing “Cell AI” technology. With the help of student volunteers at college prison education initiatives, we aim to develop targeted AI software that can be implemented on Securus tablets in a few pilot programs at Connecticut state prisons. This AI software will be controlled and domain specific, and will abide by the prison’s standards. The AI will translate languages for prisoners, help draft legal documents, and help with their mental health care, among other tasks.
